Random thoughts the whole day...PLUS! outing with vak! xD

While working today, i chanced upon my entire collection of Disney soundtracks,
which made me thought of the happiest place on earth, Disneyland.
words simply can't describe the feeling you get when you step through those gates you paid $100 for! i'd willingly pay another $100 to go again!

such a welcoming sight! i bet entering disneyland could solve any problem!!
no matter how upset, how angry you are at something, this is THE place to go to!
honestly, its magical powers are beyond words.

One of my favourite attraction, the Haunted Mansion, based on The Nightmare Before Christmas!! all my favourite tunes and characters in one place!

This also reminded me of all the attractions there, including a very cute one named The Tiki Room! It had the most tiki songs i've ever heard!! until today, i still remember its tune without youtube-ing it!! in fact, i pretty much remembered everything about disneyland, from the way the rides went, to the way the layout is. How i wish i had another chance to go there right now~!!

Ohwell, i know its impossible. But i have something else to look forward to!
My 'Le Enfant Terribles' play coming up next saturday!!

I'm trying my very best to not search anything from youtube so as to let everything remain a surprise. its really difficult!

the odd crew! told you it was a mix between Tim Burton & Doctor Parnassus.
I hope it'll be really good.
On a more surprising tone, i accidentally saw this korean babe a few days back.
Kim Tae Yeon.
Baby was all eyes on her when she walked past,
but i thought she was nothing more than another pretty korean girl on holiday with her family(and her awesomely HOT brother whom i suspect has undergone plastic surgery too)
she was all donned in sunglasses, and had like the fairest smoothest skin i've ever seen!
it was not until today that i realised it was her after baby told me about her!
if i had known, i'd have taken pictures with her already!
Just went out for dinner with aud and kwai! no pics with me, all with them!
had wood fired pizza at Al Dente Trattoria! Hawaiian, Al Funghi and Parmesan!
dinner was yums, the catch up session was much needed!
i hate feeling so distanced away from you guys, we need to meet up more often!
next time, aud's gonna drive! teehee!! train your driving at night, and upslope more!
our next destination: Dempsey Hill! xD
early night for me! goodnight! its a fridaee~!!!!
[[ you're the most thoughtful ever, and you thought i'd never realise. i've known it all along! =D and never once will i take it for granted~ <3 ]]

THE GETAWAY.

finally i had the chance to get outta SINGAPORE!
to our friendly neighbour country, malaysia.
a 3-day-2-night to Genting really helped me get some fabulous R&R. ahhh~
didn't come cheap, but wayy cheaper than all the other trips i had planned.
realised that Genting is really lowering their standards,
expensive yet not worth it, both in terms of food and souvenirs,
i had a really hard time souvenir-shopping there, all they had worth buying were foodstuff.

What's more saddening was the arcade area, whereby we discovered a game that kept malfunctioning so they kept giving out free games, and if you had mastered the skill, you'd easily get hold of 100 tickets per game.

In the end, all i found worth changing for my tickets was a golden coin keychain with the words 'My Lucky Gold Coin' across it, which is now happily hanging from my bunch of keys. Its getting heavier every time i have a new addition to it.

I NEED MY HOLIDAY!

did many things too. like this, fish spa!

Before you actually can stick your leg in, the guy had to like use this foot scrub, which i presume was to actually scrub out some dead skin to entice them little fishies to nibble at my feet.
Before i actually put in my leg, i had 0% fear whatsoever of this fish spa, but upon dipping my feet halfway into the water, one single brave fish actually swam towards my foot and took its first bite, and that's when i freaked out!

Damn, they really nibble hard! totally unlike how i imagined it, well i imagined myself in a calm and composed manner, enjoying the fish spa while getting a shoulder massage,
instead, i was screaming and yelping my head off everytime a bloody fish sunk its 'claimed' painless set of teeth into my foot. i drew alot of attention, no doubt, and its not in a good way.
i would never do that again, thank you very much! their nibble is more than mere massaging, it actually hurts pretty bad, but i have to say, i had baby smooth foot skin after that! a pleasant reward for my bravery!

enjoying the few hours of sun before the rain came. it rained non-stop, and its no joke when you're stuck on a mountain, amidst clouds that rub against each other, generating millions of volts of electricity. I've never seen brighter and scarier lightnings than the one i saw there!
even with the curtains drawn in the hotel room, the flashes were obvious.
wouldn't wanna be outdoors, its a good thing everywhere's sheltered!

the only chance to camwhore outdoors, and making good use of it.

waiting for the 4D show to start, a far cry from Disneyland's version of 4D but a good effort.
was included in the tickets we bought anyway, i thought the haunted house was pretty good.
That's cos i've watched the older version when i was just a wee kid of 13 years old, and that was really lousy. Now they've improved much, i actually got pretty spooked out by the 'alive' toys in the nursery! not too bad.
Went to catch a magic show 'Dazzle' as well, they were selling it at a promotional price,
and that was well worth every cent!
A total of 5 illusionists/magicians performed, in between the intervals were dances by pretty ang moh girls(vegas style), and even audience participation, which made the whole thing really entertaining! Truly a cherry on top of a sundae, just what i need to end of a long day.
Of course, we gave the buffet there a try, a real disappointment for the amount we paid! :(
the one that would not have disappointed us would be the steakhouse location INSIDE the casino, which i was denied entry to. BAH! wait till i'm 21, i'll throw my passport at any guard that tries to stop me then.
A short but enjoyable and memorable trip, now to save up for my next trip, and a real GOODIE that i wanna get this GSS season! xD
SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!!!
i hate it the way i wanna save, and i feel that something i need to buy comes along.
Like just today, i received an email on a play titled 'The Terrible Infants', a fusion of Roald Dahl and Tim Burton, although personally i feel its more of Tim Burton meets The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. haha.
got the tickets this very afternoon, costs me a whopping $30!
(that could have been my lunch for a week....)
but its not everyday they come to Singapore, shall see if it is really worth my $30, but from the short trailer clip that i watched, i know its gonna be worth it! =D
BELATED POST:
NYJC College Day.

went back to get my cert!
love how they make it look so professional! haha.

=DDD
its gonna be the weekends soon again!
and another week has gone by.
i hope my holiday never ends... i'm not sick of it yet! :(

attended a wedding dinner, a cousin of mine which i have actually... never seen before in my life until his wedding day. ohwell.
at least dinner was yummy!
and the couple seemed pretty sweet together!
[[ that's when i love you. ]]

i have decided...

to get new ear piercings.
after ALL 5 of mine closed up,
i never bothered anymore. felt it was a complete waste of money, time & effort.
look at this, i must have spent at least $40 previously!
one of em was also with SVE, rather memorable,
i really didn't want that one to close up,
but i had no choice.

then, i began noticing earrings all over the place.
when i walk past shops, my eyes just seem to be naturally attracted.
shiny ones, small ones, huge big loopy ones..

then the problem comes.
i'm now scared of the pain.
i used to kinda love it, the feeling of getting my ears pierced.
weird and strange, but the initial impact just give me this adrenaline rush!
i felt it was awesome!
but now i've gone back to chickenhearted. =(
forget it, i shall look past that and get my ears pierced TODAY!

thank gawd the weekends are here.

not that work isn't fun, i really find it okay for me.
but its always nice to have time off, to do things that i like.
its a friday night and i'm too tired to even get my ass outta the house.
the minute i got home, a nice hot bath was all it took to make me rooted at home.
i just want my comfy t-shirt and shorts,
maybe some tv, my computer.
it dreads me to think i have to be outside now, having to walk..
my legs are stiff at the very thought.

while listening to 987FM today,
i happened to listen to Jesse Mccartney's-Beautiful Soul.
And a realization struck me.
this would be the perfect song for The Host by Stephanie Meyers.
haven't got a clue what i'm talking about?

so little people know about this book,
or at least less than those who know about the twilight series although they're both by the same authors.
Its so not doing it justice.
Seriously a good author is a good author, you should trust that all the books written by her are good. In my honest opinion, The Host is way better than twilight.
maybe twilight has lost its novelty after awhile,
but The Host is such a good read.

anyways, i thought that Beautiful Soul would have fit the scenes of Wanda and Ian perfectly.
if they ever do produce the movie(i hope they do), i kinda can imagine the song being fitted in.
non-readers of The Host would think i'm spouting gibberish.

After i had bought the book 'The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and other stories' last week,
i took a single night to finish reading the book!
i can't believe it, and such a book doesn't come cheap,
and its only a paperback. hmpf...
anws, whoever created the toys did a good job of portraying these tragic children.
take a look at them.

from left to right: Toxic Boy, The-famous Oyster Boy, and Stain Boy.

I thought the story of oyster boy was real tragic.
the others were still okay, like kinda short, but meaningful.
its a really weird book and weird me likes it!

While i was shopping at Watsons today, i happened to chance upon this ang moh family which comprises of a mom, and her two girls, no older than 10 years old.
they were browsing the nail polish section when ang moh mummy picked out a glittery green nail polish and handed it to the elder of the two girls.

"How about this honey?" she asked
"No. I already have that color, besides, i don't want that color on my finger nails!" She retorted, giving a slight pout.

I pretended to be checking out something on the shelf while eavesdropping on this interesting conversation. How odd.
I only got to know about nail polish when i was in primary 5. And boy was i fascinated!
kate was the darling who introduced it to me, and i love the cooling effect it left on your nails when you applied it. i love how your nails suddenly don't look the same old boring plain pink,
but you can decide the color you want it to be, you could mood-match it.
and i definitely didn't have my mom choosing colors for me,
no, it was the opposite, she was yelling it me how it would destroy my nails, and my nails would fall off, all kinds of nasty stuff.
Imagine her reaction when i tried black nail polish, i didn't hear the end of it from her. haha.
How different are we, i realised, a far cry in fact.
did your mom pick out nail polish for you when you were the tender age of say, 8?

long day tomorrow, i'd better rest early tonight. goodnight.

[[ i don't want to walk this earth if i gotta do it solo. ]]

ME LIKES IT!

my addiction is back.
i googled for absolut images and now i can't get them off my mind.
why do they have to be so pretty and unattainable??!?!?!
check out my pretties!

this one's REAL sexy.

on sale RIGHT NOW at changi airport,
question is, how do i get it without having to pay for an air ticket?

just another want.
maybe i should be planning a short trip somewhere near very very soon.
bangkok or hong kong sounds appealing! =D

its freezing today.. i got up bright and early to bus down to baby's camp.
the weather sucked, it rained and i had to trod through rainwater for 15 minutes before i reached the interior. it was so deep in! big mistake to wear leggings as well,
i swear it soaked up more water than spongebob!
pfft.. even up till now my toes still feel like ice cubes.

xiao zhu's new song is very delightful!

i lurvee the jazzy jazzy feel it gives,
not that i'm into jazz or anything,
but kinda suits him! awesome! =D
pleasant to listen!
he's soooooo seductive in this mv! xDD

check out his hilarious dance!

so funny to see him doing this without his mushroom hair and funky dress code!!
xiaozhu can really act! *thumbs up*

aww, my fingers are too frozen to continue typing.
cousin's 21st tonight, believe it or not, this is the first time i'm attending any of my cousin's birthday party. gawd, i'm a horrid cousin, aren't i? its complicated. :)

lonely weekend.

not used to not meeting baby on a weekend.
he's gone for armceg duty again, TWICE in a row. >=(
April fool's day is over! the biggest trick was that stupid ris low one.
obvious yet highly dubious.
who would have thought the directors would allow someone to tarnish their image for even 2 days!
987Fm received enough negative feedbacks to last them forever already.
its not really that amusing, just relieved that finally my fav djs are back on air,
and everything is perfect as before ris low came.
pfft. wasted my entire night writing that long post about her.
but anyway, thanks to that, baby and I got to have the angry whopper for seriously only S$1!
but at a condition that we have to buy a med. drink,
which totals the bill to about $3.20, still cheap,
but the burger is totally worth only S$1 in value.
cut chillis doesn't go well with burgers at all...
i'd rather pay $7 for my mushroom swiss burger.

anws, i pulled the same prank on everyone,
and to think i woke up 15 mins earlier, hoping that when they receive a morning msg,
they wouldn't suspect its the 1st apr yet!
unfortunately, only a few fell for it.
alice called me up about half a minute after my msg was sent out!
PROMPT! hahahas.
and desmond is the Mr. April's Fool this year. he fell for my prank all the way until 10pm that day! teehee.
baby pulled a small prank on me, which i totally fell for. too bad its only a titchy one! xD

Yesterday was a really lazy morning, i finally finished a book that i've been dying to know the ending to.
i bought a book called 'shadows of sherlock holmes' but i have nearly given up reading it.
as interested as i am in the storyline, powerful vocab words pepper every single page! i can't go further than 2 lines without having to dictionary.com a word! Gah!
after a while, i begin to lose track of the story. :(
and i'm still thinking about buying pride and prejudice cos there's a really cute parody to it.
Maybe i should give up that book, might be too hard for me to digest.
nothing much to blog already, signing off!

call me childish...

i couldn't care less when the person who is the least worthy of joining 987FM is IN 987FM,
with my second fav duo! :((
yes, 987's done it big this time. RIS LOW as a local DJ, co-hosting with shan and ross.
yup, THE very same shan and ross!!
i can't believe it, damn, so many good potentials outside, and it goes to her?
hmpf... if this goes on any longer, i'm gonna stop tuning in.
with all due respect to ross and my beloved shan, i really can't stand ris.
some may love her(no idea why), i was neutral, now i really can't stand the fact she's intruding into my favourite source of entertainment.
its one thing to dominate blogs, televisions, newspapers, magazines, now the radio too?
come on, you've got to be seriously joking!!

this is gonna ruin 987FM. i just know it.
you know its a lucky thing my muttons till midnight is still intact!
but i wouldn't be surprised if sooner or later she'll be the 3rd mutton to the show.
i will literally kill that woman if she does that. gawd, why does she have to ruin everything?
she is NOT funny, does NOT have a unique personality, and will MOST DEFINITELY NOT make a good DJ.
sometimes i half wish she did join muttons till midnight, maybe then justin and vernon will come up with a whole new batch of Ris Low jokes, and she might not be able to take the humiliation, and may even quit the whole DJ thing.
then again, i'm forgetting that i'm talking about a girl with -97827138728723% of humiliation.
i'm beginning to suspect it doesn't even exist in her dictionary.
look at all the things she's done, ZERO embarrassment coming from her,
in fact she really loves the attention. *SHUDDERS*
she's a weirdo.

arh, piss it. i just can't stand her being part of the 987 family.
i don't care how narrow-minded i am, i don't care how good she is,
she's ruining everything, dammit.
and the worst part, woah trying to take over ross.
ross is the single most coolest female DJ to ever make her name on 987Fm,
and Ris thinks she's even capable of taking away 1% of that personality that Ross has?
bah, fat hope. Ris is nobody, no character, no style, no flair. plenty of flops perhaps.
she's too imperfect that the public's paying so much attention to her,
she's so tragic sometimes, i don't know to feel sorry or what.
sheesh, some ex-beauty queen is seriously wasting too much of my time.
why can't she be interested in other stuff huh?
she could be like on those kinda tv shows, i'm perfectly fine with her on razortv,
its like i can totally skip that episode, but on radio. i have no choice.
she's practically FORCING that horrible voice of hers through my unwilling listening ears!
i don't wanna hear any more crap from her.
is anyone gonna set up some petition to fire Ris Low, PLEASEE i'm begging you,
keep me informed. i'll be the first to petition.
damn, ris low sucks.

p/s: keep your chin up Ross, you'll always be the 987FM DJ.

FAIRY TAIL; OYSTER BOY & other tragic toys.

damn, i better stop making monthly-blogging a habit.
but seriously, i've done everything online, everything that i need to and have to do.
i've checked my mails, updated fb(abit), checked out the new movies, read some news, blog-hopping, and my hair is still not dry.
just came back from dinner at baby's place. poor baby must be so tired after last night's duty,
so i shall be a good gf and not bother him for the rest of the night.

recently, baby introduced to me an anime, which i've fallen in love with.
yep. none other than FAIRY TAIL~ =DD
just makes me shine to hear its very name.
currently waiting for new episodes to come out,
and can you believe it. for this anime, i BOUGHT MY VERY FIRST COMIC.
yepp, and even signed on with comics connections membership that gives 30% discount cos i'm pretty sure we're gonna get the entire series as well! teehee.
one down side, its all in CHINESE!
grr... its really kinda hard, whenever i see a familiar name, i just skip trying to read it in chinese totally, and just understand it as its english name.
my favourite character, is of course the cutest character.
like since when is my favourite character not the most adorable?
my dearest blue flying kitty, HAPPY! xD
i'm no otaku here ok, but this anime is seriously LOVES TTM!
aiya, you guys won't understand until you've actually watched it.

aside from that, my treasured find today is a new book which i never knew existed!
but its a MUST HAVE FOR ME!
the melancholy death of oyster boy and other stories!
i chanced upon it on yahoo, and that's when i realised where the oyster boy figurine came from.
i keep seeing those tragic toys by tim burton in those toy stores,
but i have no idea why.
now i finally understand, and i've even sourced down probably the last few copies of the book.
its on reservation and i really do hope the condition is worth its price.
it may be just another storybook to others,
but this is a work of art by tim burton!
i gotta have it!

more next time. low batt...>.

its no wonder..

now it makes perfect sense why only students/teenagers are avid bloggers.
you hardly see any working adults blogging with the exception of those who do blogging for a living.
and i can perfectly understand why now.
By the time work ends, you drag your already-heavy feet to the nearest MRT,
you have to fight the sardine-squeezed crowd to get a space in the train,
stand the entire journey in high heels(for ladies), and by the time your key inserts the door,
all you wanna do is to have a nice warm bath, get dinner, and rest.
However, rest will never comprise of blogging to at least 99% of the working adults.
Having spent the entire 8 working hours in front of a computer already,
its only unless there's uncompleted work, or else the computer would seem like a deadly enemy.
Maybe some fb, google gossips, and slam. That's it. end of com usage for the day.

weird thing is, i really miss blogging, but my internet is screwed up, and i'm always too lazy to actually turn on my computer.
so why i can actually blog now is cos im at baby's house waiting for Mr Late,
and thankfully, his computer is super speedy and only takes 10 secs to set up once its been turned on.
(Proven: he counted till 10 secs in front of my eyes)

Last friday was a terror, but everything turned out to be fine in the end.
I now believe that 'A' Level results is really unexpected.
however, the unexpected can be in a good way or in a bad way,
and how blessed am i to have it in a good way.
Nevertheless, having done badly doesn't mark the end of the world,
one only needs the determination to try and succeed once more,
and success only goes to those who really give it their all.
Nobody stays a failure forever, if anyone really is, i'd really like to meet that someone.

But what i enjoy more than ever, and what i realised from the path i have chosen is that one can never really enjoy studying unless they are studying what they truly genuinely like.
Look what H2 math did to me, i hated math to the core.
every night i fall sleep wondering who the hell was that asshole who invented the subject Maths.
But when geog came into the picture, i was fascinated by it, and sheer interest led me to want to learn more about it, i practically craved for the knowledge i gained from this subject.
so in any case, i now know that loving what you study is most important of all.

but anyway, i now know for sure that i do have the time to finally take my driving license.
But what's the use of having time when i know its gonna take me longer than usual to learn.
i think i kinda suck at driving. its the phobia thing that the stupid go-kart gave me.
but i am determined to learn driving for some very special reasons. :)

went for dinner at chilis yesterday, my parents treat to congratulate me for performing well.
Headed down to the outlet at Sentosa so that we could check out how much it has developed from the last time we saw it.
it was packed full by the time we arrived, luckily we managed to get a seat pretty quickly.
The food was as usual, madd fabulous, with the serving portions as huge as i remembered.
However, the buffalo wings weren't as fantastic as i thought. Jerry's still hold the champion for Authentic American Buffalo Wings! xD
While we were eating, we could see shows going on outside, and a cute Hershey chocolate bar mascot walking around. I so wanted to snap a picture with it, but it was long gone by the time we were done with dinner.
Managed to take a look at the newly opened Hersheys shop, which sells everything related to Hersheys, and like some other stuff. Still, they sell the most interesting things at a rather pricey cost. :(
i dunno how i can be working, yet feeling so broke all the time.
People who work should feel like they are able to buy anything they want whenever they want it!
lols, keep dreaming huh.

joined this sony competition that could get me tickets to Alice in Wonderland 3D, if they're not gonna announce me as one of their 250 winners by next week, i'm paying for the ticket already.
i'm not risking to miss that show.

please please please please don't...

don't let me fall sick during my greediest holiday!!
its CNY, dammit!!!
i'm feeling a sore throat creeping up on me. :(
i don't know what i do, i had a perfectly non-heaty dinner,
i only munched on a couple of custard cremes from M&S for breakfast,
and i've downed two bottles of water since i've woken up!
how is it that i can still fall sick??
its impossible...

yesterday night, had dinner at baby's place. <3
rushed down to town straight after dinner, as both baby and his fren had to get their new year clothes. i'm secretly happy i've already gotten mine.
sometimes, rushy shopping can be quite bothersome.
got a tiny bit lost in taka looking for armani exchange,
by the time we actually reached there, it was closed already.
most of the shops were closing around that time as well,
even at far east.
someone should set a rule that shopping malls should not close so early when people need to do last minute shopping for their clothes, esp approching like CNY, xmas..
then again, living in Singapore is already not too bad.
when you go to places like Australia, London, shops closes at 5pm.
people practically HAVE to go home after work,
there's nothing to do outside, no shopping, nothing.

i have a whole list of things to do before tonight.
i have to pack my bag for m'sia,
i have to get my photos printed, post some mails,
deliver oranges to baby's house cos he won't be home today at all,
i'm like errand girl for today.
meeting up with Alice tonight as well!
hahaha haven't seen her since the time we met on the MRT.
busy day, i better get started.
toodles~
