ITS A SATURDAY ALREADY!
i cannot believe it!
one week is simply too little,
practically insignificant to be considered a holiday.
anyways, today i'm helping baby celebrate his 21st birthday!
his bday's not till this tue,
but since tue i have school,
it was brought forward to today.
i'm only able to blog this now cos he's on his way here,
and he won't be able to see what i've blogged.
mwahahahs.
guess where we're going first?
PRAWNING!!
*shivers*
i'm scared of prawning,
i dun like to see prawns squirm about when they're being pulled out of the water
with nothing more than a mere hook and bits of chicken heart in their mouth!
ahhh it gives me the shivers!
but baby has been telling me that he wants to go prawning since forever.
maybe it won't be anything like he expected.
its scary..
maybe not for him cos he's not scared of any sea creatures.
i'm totally fine with live, moving ones until they're dead.
then they get scary..
oh wells, he's gonna have to catch the prawn,
unhook the prawn, and keep the prawn somewhere.
i'm not going anywhere near those prawnies..
nuh-uh.
heading down to marina barrage for lunch later,
i have never been there before!
what if i get lost? LOLS!
i'm extremely prone to getting lost..
nvms, singapore's not THAT big anyways.
how lost can we get? xDD
time to go!
will upload pics if i manage to take em!
PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE DUN RAIN TODAY!
DUN RUIN MY PLANS!!
ANY DAY BUT TODAY!

dinner at SPAGEDDIES~!
yayys! i finally accomplished yet another wish today!
to dine at spageddies located at paragon basement.
*CHEERS*
dinner at spageddies was to celebrate baby graduating from TP! =DD
he's worked so hard, andd finally sees an end to all those physics and math!
*BIG PHEW!*
aerospace is really not an easy course to study,
i've seen his notes and they were a killer!
well at least its all over now~
not like me, still stuck with A's.. *cries*
only reached orchard at 9,
we were so afraid that spageddies would be closed by this timing.
so typical of the shops found in Singapore,
close to 9pm, the shutters are all down already!
but we experienced such a stroke of luck when we arrived and found out that it was open till 11!
plenty of time to enjoy our meal without having to worry about being hurried off! xDD
anyways, i went all the way to spageddies cos it was the only place i knew(so far) that sold ravioli.
i'm sure plenty of other places do sell, jus that i have not chanced upon them yet.
BUT GUESS WHAT!
ravioli was out-of-stock!!
and i was so excited to try them.
in the end, the waitress suggested that i went for another cheesy alternative.(the name of which i can't recall at the moment)
baby ordered his soft shell crab arrabiata,
andd we topped it off with a cappucino cheesecake found in the dessert section.
YAYYS!!! FINALLY GET TO EAT SPAGEDDIES WITH BABY!!
baby calling for the waitress~
baby: WHERE'S MY FOOD! I'M HUNGRYY!!
the wait for the food didn't take too long,
10 mins after we've placed our order,
our piping hot food arrived!
to dine at spageddies located at paragon basement.

=DDDD
baby's soft shell crab arrabiata!
although i didn't try the crab, but according to baby,
it was yummy!!
the pasta was good though, spageddies really is THE place to go for pasta!
bits of ham and mushrooms blended so well with the pasta as well~
i'd' give it a 8 our of 10!
my cheesy dish!
okay i seriously can't figure out the name of this.
its mozerella something and it can be found under the pasta section in the menu.
i've tried google-ing spageddies menu,
but the menu's malfuctioning and i really can't obtain the name of this.
anyways, this dish was LOVE AT FIRST BITE!
i'm not kidding!
when baby first tried it, he immediately said "mmm! its really good!"
andd when i popped one of this cheesy chunk into my mouth,
it was INCREDIBLY HEAVENLY!
its basically like a cheese-version of lasagne,
with cheese stuffed into the middle, and melted on the top,
complemented with tomato sauce!
definitely a MUST-EAT!!!
i'm so going back for more next time!
but once you're done with half of the dish,
you'll get pretty much sick of the cheese taste.
luckily baby ordered pasta, which i could switch with him when i got rather sick of the cheesy thinggy~
its yummy, but impossible to finish on your own!
another candid shot.
we were literally BLOATED by the time we were done with dinner,
andd our stomachs were on the verge of exploding!
so we had no choice but to cancel our dessert,
or it would have been physical torture to actually consume the cappucino cheesecake!
leave it for the next time when we return to spageddies,
which we definitely will!
well, just have to wait till my ravioli is actually in-stock again, andd spageddies will call out to me once more!
camwhoring moments:
camwhoring moments:
p.s i wasn't the one taking the picture! xP
presenting to you the soft shell crab arrabiata!
look at that greedy face he has!
tatas~` we love spageddies!!
gotta wake up again early tomorrow morning!
i hate it when i don't get to sleep in on saturday mornings!
and i have to wake up so darn early cos i have to reach boon lay mrt by 8AM!
crazy right? but i shall not complain cos its not only me who will have to do that.
5 of us who signed up for the econs talk at NTU tomorrow will be doing this same crazy thing.
why can't they just set it to be at 11am or something.
*groans*

i'm backkk~~!!!
yes, after being MIA for so long,
i've finally returned to blogging once more!
i promised myself i would start blogging again after my blocks,
but things just got too busyy~
(okayokay i shall find a better excuse for my laziness)
but back then, i really lost the blogging mood for awhile.
so this entry may be a tad dry,
but hey! better than nothing. =D
today's been sucha foodie day!!
i finally fufilled my promise to my sis to bring her to din tai feng cos i swear they have the absolute BESTEST BEST xiao long bao over there!
*ahh~* cann you hear the heavenly chorus!
me, dear and my sis headed to wisma's outlet straight after church,
but little did we expect to find a whole CROWD there waiting to be seated.
so, we headed to the nearest outlet at paragon, hoping that the queue would be significantly shorter.
little luck on that, we still ended up being told that we had to wait half an hour for our table,
so we strolled around paragon abit.
discovered some pretty cool eateries there,
one which i am MOST definitely going back to, SPAGEDDIES!
i finally found my ravioli! BWAHAHAHS!
i cann hear it calling out to me~
we also walked around paragon market place.
seriously, every single supermarket should look up to that place as its role model!
i would love supermarts SO much more if they were all like that.
only had time to wander about abit.
discovered the most ex strawberries that i've ever laid my eyes on.
directly imported from fukuoka,
a dozen of strawberries which costs.. s$33.
damn, since when did strawberries cost a bomb to enjoy!
but they looked REALLLY REALLY good. =DD
by the time we got back to din tai feng,
we had already overshot our queue number.
so we had to wait a little while more,
before we finally got our table!
xiao long baos, here we come!! =DD
also ordered dan chao fan, stewed beef soup, and some yam-filled xiao long baos!

lunch was really yummy,
and we spent hours slackingg there,
mostly talking about ghost stories! wahahahas.
interesting topic to talk about,
but some parts got quite spooky.
finally left the place when we needed the toilet badly.
it was already 4+,
andd dinner was at ikea tonight!
the food at ikea was good.
BUT!
super unhapy with the dessert!
after reading about it in the newspapers,
selma, the name of the recently-launched swedish dessert did not fail to catch my attention!
appparently, some king of sweden died after over-indulging 14 of these selmas at all one go after a grand dinner.
so i thought, hey, its gotta be pretty good for a king to actually want to eat 14 of these sweeties.
i was so excited to sink my teeth into one of these babies.
but, not only was it a total waste of my $3.50,
i would have rather tried other things instead!
it totally sucked!
i dunno was it the whipped cream or the almond paste in the middle that turned me off COMPLETELY!
it was utterly disgusting,
and definitely a spoiler to my yummy poached salmon dinner! :(
in the end, i only ate the bread thingy,
and used the fork to scrape off all the whipped cream and almond paste.
BLEAHHH!
so warning: DO NOT TRY SELMA AT IKEA!
(unless of course you're a big fan of almond)
my second horrid encounter with almond two days in a row!
yesterday was at siti's party where i accidentally ate an almond jelly after mistaking it for a lychee one!
not that the jelly wasn't nice, its just that its almond!
andd i will never forget the time my stupid almond jelly refused to harden during my home economics practical, causing me to get a lower grade!
it can't have been my cooking skills! jellies are like the easiest!
its the almond jelly's fault, it wouldn't be the same if i were making mango jelly instead.
me and almond jelly just don't see eye to eye, that's all.
geez, its so very boring thinking that in a few hours time,
i'd have to drag myself outta bed and get ready for school!
last week of school before the march holidays.
i'm kinda thankful that blocks are over.
i would so hate the school if we have to use that one week to study for our block test..
i need my R&R time.
shall be more optimistic about school!
besides, its only 5 days.
i've been doing it for 10 over years,
i can definitely last 5 days in school~
anyways, 7 march 2009 was a very special day.
its been 6 months since we're together and until this point in time,
i still think i'm the luckiest girl in the world to meet someone like you!
baby, thanks for overlooking all my stupidness and immature thinking,
and still being able to love me for who i am.
that's what makes me love you the most, andd my love for you will never change,
not in million years! i promise. =D
i love you~
