ITS A SATURDAY ALREADY!
i cannot believe it!
one week is simply too little,
practically insignificant to be considered a holiday.
anyways, today i'm helping baby celebrate his 21st birthday!
his bday's not till this tue,
but since tue i have school,
it was brought forward to today.
i'm only able to blog this now cos he's on his way here,
and he won't be able to see what i've blogged.
mwahahahs.
guess where we're going first?
PRAWNING!!
*shivers*
i'm scared of prawning,
i dun like to see prawns squirm about when they're being pulled out of the water
with nothing more than a mere hook and bits of chicken heart in their mouth!
ahhh it gives me the shivers!
but baby has been telling me that he wants to go prawning since forever.
maybe it won't be anything like he expected.
its scary..
maybe not for him cos he's not scared of any sea creatures.
i'm totally fine with live, moving ones until they're dead.
then they get scary..
oh wells, he's gonna have to catch the prawn,
unhook the prawn, and keep the prawn somewhere.
i'm not going anywhere near those prawnies..
nuh-uh.
heading down to marina barrage for lunch later,
i have never been there before!
what if i get lost? LOLS!
i'm extremely prone to getting lost..
nvms, singapore's not THAT big anyways.
how lost can we get? xDD
time to go!
will upload pics if i manage to take em!
PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE DUN RAIN TODAY!
DUN RUIN MY PLANS!!
ANY DAY BUT TODAY!

dinner at SPAGEDDIES~!
yayys! i finally accomplished yet another wish today!
to dine at spageddies located at paragon basement.
*CHEERS*

dinner at spageddies was to celebrate baby graduating from TP! =DD
he's worked so hard, andd finally sees an end to all those physics and math!
*BIG PHEW!*
aerospace is really not an easy course to study,
i've seen his notes and they were a killer!
well at least its all over now~
not like me, still stuck with A's.. *cries*
only reached orchard at 9,
we were so afraid that spageddies would be closed by this timing.
so typical of the shops found in Singapore,
close to 9pm, the shutters are all down already!
but we experienced such a stroke of luck when we arrived and found out that it was open till 11!
plenty of time to enjoy our meal without having to worry about being hurried off! xDD
anyways, i went all the way to spageddies cos it was the only place i knew(so far) that sold ravioli.
i'm sure plenty of other places do sell, jus that i have not chanced upon them yet.
BUT GUESS WHAT!
ravioli was out-of-stock!!
and i was so excited to try them.
in the end, the waitress suggested that i went for another cheesy alternative.(the name of which i can't recall at the moment)
baby ordered his soft shell crab arrabiata,
andd we topped it off with a cappucino cheesecake found in the dessert section.

YAYYS!!! FINALLY GET TO EAT SPAGEDDIES WITH BABY!!

baby calling for the waitress~

baby: WHERE'S MY FOOD! I'M HUNGRYY!!
the wait for the food didn't take too long,
10 mins after we've placed our order,
our piping hot food arrived!
to dine at spageddies located at paragon basement.

=DDDD
baby's soft shell crab arrabiata!
although i didn't try the crab, but according to baby,
it was yummy!!
the pasta was good though, spageddies really is THE place to go for pasta!
bits of ham and mushrooms blended so well with the pasta as well~
i'd' give it a 8 our of 10!
my cheesy dish!
okay i seriously can't figure out the name of this.
its mozerella something and it can be found under the pasta section in the menu.
i've tried google-ing spageddies menu,
but the menu's malfuctioning and i really can't obtain the name of this.
anyways, this dish was LOVE AT FIRST BITE!
i'm not kidding!
when baby first tried it, he immediately said "mmm! its really good!"
andd when i popped one of this cheesy chunk into my mouth,
it was INCREDIBLY HEAVENLY!
its basically like a cheese-version of lasagne,
with cheese stuffed into the middle, and melted on the top,
complemented with tomato sauce!
definitely a MUST-EAT!!!
i'm so going back for more next time!
but once you're done with half of the dish,
you'll get pretty much sick of the cheese taste.
luckily baby ordered pasta, which i could switch with him when i got rather sick of the cheesy thinggy~
its yummy, but impossible to finish on your own!
another candid shot.
we were literally BLOATED by the time we were done with dinner,
andd our stomachs were on the verge of exploding!
so we had no choice but to cancel our dessert,
or it would have been physical torture to actually consume the cappucino cheesecake!
leave it for the next time when we return to spageddies,
which we definitely will!
well, just have to wait till my ravioli is actually in-stock again, andd spageddies will call out to me once more!
camwhoring moments:
camwhoring moments:
p.s i wasn't the one taking the picture! xP
presenting to you the soft shell crab arrabiata!
look at that greedy face he has!
tatas~` we love spageddies!!
gotta wake up again early tomorrow morning!
i hate it when i don't get to sleep in on saturday mornings!
and i have to wake up so darn early cos i have to reach boon lay mrt by 8AM!
crazy right? but i shall not complain cos its not only me who will have to do that.
5 of us who signed up for the econs talk at NTU tomorrow will be doing this same crazy thing.
why can't they just set it to be at 11am or something.
*groans*

i'm backkk~~!!!
yes, after being MIA for so long,
i've finally returned to blogging once more!
i promised myself i would start blogging again after my blocks,
but things just got too busyy~
(okayokay i shall find a better excuse for my laziness)
but back then, i really lost the blogging mood for awhile.
so this entry may be a tad dry,
but hey! better than nothing. =D
today's been sucha foodie day!!
i finally fufilled my promise to my sis to bring her to din tai feng cos i swear they have the absolute BESTEST BEST xiao long bao over there!

*ahh~* cann you hear the heavenly chorus!
me, dear and my sis headed to wisma's outlet straight after church,
but little did we expect to find a whole CROWD there waiting to be seated.
so, we headed to the nearest outlet at paragon, hoping that the queue would be significantly shorter.
little luck on that, we still ended up being told that we had to wait half an hour for our table,
so we strolled around paragon abit.
discovered some pretty cool eateries there,
one which i am MOST definitely going back to, SPAGEDDIES!
i finally found my ravioli! BWAHAHAHS!
i cann hear it calling out to me~
we also walked around paragon market place.
seriously, every single supermarket should look up to that place as its role model!
i would love supermarts SO much more if they were all like that.
only had time to wander about abit.
discovered the most ex strawberries that i've ever laid my eyes on.
directly imported from fukuoka,
a dozen of strawberries which costs.. s$33.
damn, since when did strawberries cost a bomb to enjoy!
but they looked REALLLY REALLY good. =DD
by the time we got back to din tai feng,
we had already overshot our queue number.
so we had to wait a little while more,
before we finally got our table!
xiao long baos, here we come!! =DD
also ordered dan chao fan, stewed beef soup, and some yam-filled xiao long baos!

lunch was really yummy,
and we spent hours slackingg there,
mostly talking about ghost stories! wahahahas.
interesting topic to talk about,
but some parts got quite spooky.
finally left the place when we needed the toilet badly.
it was already 4+,
andd dinner was at ikea tonight!
the food at ikea was good.
BUT!
super unhapy with the dessert!
after reading about it in the newspapers,
selma, the name of the recently-launched swedish dessert did not fail to catch my attention!
appparently, some king of sweden died after over-indulging 14 of these selmas at all one go after a grand dinner.
so i thought, hey, its gotta be pretty good for a king to actually want to eat 14 of these sweeties.
i was so excited to sink my teeth into one of these babies.
but, not only was it a total waste of my $3.50,
i would have rather tried other things instead!
it totally sucked!
i dunno was it the whipped cream or the almond paste in the middle that turned me off COMPLETELY!
it was utterly disgusting,
and definitely a spoiler to my yummy poached salmon dinner! :(
in the end, i only ate the bread thingy,
and used the fork to scrape off all the whipped cream and almond paste.
BLEAHHH!
so warning: DO NOT TRY SELMA AT IKEA!
(unless of course you're a big fan of almond)
my second horrid encounter with almond two days in a row!
yesterday was at siti's party where i accidentally ate an almond jelly after mistaking it for a lychee one!
not that the jelly wasn't nice, its just that its almond!
andd i will never forget the time my stupid almond jelly refused to harden during my home economics practical, causing me to get a lower grade!
it can't have been my cooking skills! jellies are like the easiest!
its the almond jelly's fault, it wouldn't be the same if i were making mango jelly instead.
me and almond jelly just don't see eye to eye, that's all.
geez, its so very boring thinking that in a few hours time,
i'd have to drag myself outta bed and get ready for school!
last week of school before the march holidays.
i'm kinda thankful that blocks are over.
i would so hate the school if we have to use that one week to study for our block test..
i need my R&R time.
shall be more optimistic about school!
besides, its only 5 days.
i've been doing it for 10 over years,
i can definitely last 5 days in school~
anyways, 7 march 2009 was a very special day.
its been 6 months since we're together and until this point in time,
i still think i'm the luckiest girl in the world to meet someone like you!
baby, thanks for overlooking all my stupidness and immature thinking,
and still being able to love me for who i am.
that's what makes me love you the most, andd my love for you will never change,
not in million years! i promise. =D
i love you~

HAPPY CNY 2009!!
omg. one year has gone by so quickly!!
go backk to last year's january entry and you cann see my 'HAPPY CNY 2008!" entry. lols.
my cny is once again spent in malaysia, genting to be more exact, and i'll only be home on tues.
the same old things as usual, no casinos this time unless i manage to get in successfully once again. i never get lucky twice.
can't wait for the fireworks tonight, but it'll be so much better if someone else were here too.
oh, my mom actually brought 7 party poppers all the way to malaysia!
its a lucky thing we weren't stopped the customs.
its not your average small hand-size party poppers, but those big red things! the ones that cause sucha loud BANG you'd think someone just fired a bazooka! (although i've never actually heard a bazooka being fired, but i'm imagining it'll be something like that.)
and she wants us to set it off when the fireworks start tonight!
haha. no way. once is enough, i'm scared of those things.
i'll probably just give mine away to someone nearby or let my sis do the honours.
went to megamall yesterday to shop and
that place is seriously gigantic! (or maybe its only huge to lazy people like me when i have to spend hours walking around sucha big mall)
i cann say for certain its definitely bigger than vivo,
but the shops there aren't half as good.
you have the usual mango, topshop, levi, jusco, etc etc. and many other shops that i've never seen before. the only shop i spent nearly an hour in was nichii(i think that's how its spelt) where i finally bought a dress. the cny crowd did not help one bit.
by late afternoon it got more crowded, and the long queues for the fitting rooms was enough to deter us from trying on any clothes.
we only entered shops that weren't so crowded and where we didn't have to queue 10 mins just to try on clothes.
met up with my parents around 6+ before heading back up to genting again.
it started to rain on our way back up to genting, and it was so misty that the high-beam didn't help much. it was basically a cold, dark and wet journey up, andd i was so thankful to finally return to the comforts of the hotel room again.
dinner was at kenny rogers, but the macaroni and cheese cannot be compared to singapore's one at all! bleahbleahbleah it used to be much better. plus, food prices in genting has gone up by nearly 1/3 its price.
still, there are some pretty good places to eat here.
my dad mentioned something about going down to some mushroom farm to have dinner tomorrow night. mushrooms sounds good~
and i failed once again to locate the cafe which used to sell the best nasi padang that i've ever eaten. it closed down 3 years back for renovation but i can never find it again.
maybe it never did renovate.. :(
okays, this has been a long enough entry.
have a good CNY everybody!
(btw, i'm still lagging behind on blogging about many other things.)

FOOD ATTACKK!
:( school's starting this monday and i can't be any sadder.
this only means 3 things:
1. lesser free time
2. more stress
3. more homework/tests or deadlines to be met!
when will be my next holiday?
to Genting i guess, for the chinese new year.
its sorta our routine now every year,
and its a great getaway from the hustle and bustle in Singapore.
that's only before i realised that people in malaysia do actually celebrate CNY,
therefore, there wouldn't be much difference since its gonna be equally packed over there.
greats..
been to a fair few places to pig out these few days~
its great but my body's hating me for gaining all the extra kilos.
andd i'm lazy as a pig to actually get down to working out.
i'll have to leave it to my trusty PE lessons when school starts i guess. xDD
Had dinner at kenny rogers roasters in suntec with dear for our 4th month anniversary.
i have never actually tried kenny rogers in singapore, only up in genting.
For starters, we had kenny rogers muffins which i adore oh-so-much!!
the buttery, fluffy pieces are simply heavenly, with bits of corn in it!
(my mouth is already starting to water once again)
the side dishes were served in larger portions here in singapore,
andd the macaroni and cheese was absolutely FABULOUS!
i so prefer the seashell pasta they serve here as compared to the normal macaroni that they
have in Genting. Also, the cheese is way way cheesier~! just the way i like it!
dear had ribs while i had their signature black pepper chicken.
both of them were delicious to the core!
thanks to my ravenous appetite,
i managed to not only finish a quarter of the chicken,
but also downing the two side orders easily, the other which was pasta salad.
i regretted it instantly as i felt SO super bloated after dinner that i could barely walk!
let the pictures do the talking~

playingg around with his phone after his meal.

satisfying meal for him! he managed to eat the ribs with only cutlery and not with the aid of his hands, something that proved to be rather impossible for me.

dear: Ahhh......ahhhh......AHHH...!!!..(AH-CHOO!!!)
he was also having a flu that day, so i kept trying to snap shots of him sneezing!
he must have sneezed 9812837817 times during dinner that day! lols.
this shot was a successful attempt!

dear: AHHHH!!! i give up! why must i keep sneezinggg??
the look of surrender is clearly written all over his face! xDD
.
.
.
andd lastly,
the final end product after our dinner!

justin and vivienne strikes again!
lols. after dinner, we wandered around suntec city for abit,
went to the arcade to play this really cool game called asian dynamite.
it was pretty interesting and we're definitely going back to complete the game this time!
no more game over for us! only THE END!
dear also managed to snap a picture of me on this pirate ship thingyy~
those that u put coins in and it'll start moving.
except this one was out of order.

i have a fetish for pirates, thanks to POTC~
but not a pirate ship that's under maintainance and wayy too little leg space for me~ lols.
we've also discovered a place where they have ice cream fondue available that's not too overpriced. i havehavehave to go there!! its so yum just thinking about it!
the following day,
i finally had the chance to meet up with kate since she's back in singapore!
she's still the same old her, always having out-of-the-world stories to tell me,
new experiences, new gossips!
we had lunch at BILLY BOMBERS!
it was a first time for the both of us and we presumed that burgers were their speciality,
so we both ordered philly cheesesteak jr.
cheesesteak sounds good, but i thought it was a sort of burger.
only when our food arrived did i realise that it was served with hotdog bread.
nevertheless, it was still as yummy and i can conclude that they definitely have the best fries.
i've never seen it before, but it comes in long thin, flat strips.
forget the normal shoestring or criss-cut fries,
but think upsized kway teow sizes(in breadth), and nearly similar length to that of normal fries.
the cheesesteak was the star of the meal~!
HOWEVER, i made a wrong choice by ordering a passionfruit mocktail which was quite a disappointment as they added too little syrup.
i do agree that i may sometimes have malfunctioning tastebuds,
but not this time.
all i could taste was the soda water itself,
and its not tempting at all.
even after requesting for more syrup to be added, it did not taste any better.
kate's order of chocolate milkshake looks WAY WAY more delicious,
andd it would definitely be what i would be ordering on my next trip to billy bombers!
dessert was chocolate ice cream, which was sinful but perfectly satisfyingg~!!
we spent a couple of hours just chatting away at our table,
and did not leave till 20 mins before our movie began.
caught transporter 3 that day,
it was not bad, andd i could grasp the storyline easily without even catching the first two movies! his car is really rather cool, but i refuse to believe that such a good car exist in the world. hahahs. it has perfect braking, and is able to withstand being driven into the river, and smashing into trains. it has gotta be the ultimate car already.
after the movie, we went to plaza sing to browse around a couple of shops,
before i had to head back to the cathay again for my sister's birthday dinner at astons.
My stomach was still pretty bloated then, with my lunch only halfway digested.
the queue at astons was crazy!
it was a weekday night, and yet by 8 o clock,
the queue was still so long.
settled for grilled salmon for dinner, which i split with my mom,
andd i've never been more full in my entire life!
i'm surprised my weighing scales did not get crushed under my newly-gained ** kilo body weight when i stood on it that night.
lols. would love to blog more but its already 2.17am on a saturday morning.
val's having her birthday chalet tomorrow andd my mom needs all the help she can get for the preparation of food tomorrow.
what better person to look for other than me right?
eyelids are shutting any minute~
goodnight!
[[ you be the prince, and i'll be the princess ]]

and its not tempting at all.
even after requesting for more syrup to be added, it did not taste any better.
kate's order of chocolate milkshake looks WAY WAY more delicious,
andd it would definitely be what i would be ordering on my next trip to billy bombers!
dessert was chocolate ice cream, which was sinful but perfectly satisfyingg~!!
we spent a couple of hours just chatting away at our table,
and did not leave till 20 mins before our movie began.
caught transporter 3 that day,
it was not bad, andd i could grasp the storyline easily without even catching the first two movies! his car is really rather cool, but i refuse to believe that such a good car exist in the world. hahahs. it has perfect braking, and is able to withstand being driven into the river, and smashing into trains. it has gotta be the ultimate car already.
after the movie, we went to plaza sing to browse around a couple of shops,
before i had to head back to the cathay again for my sister's birthday dinner at astons.
My stomach was still pretty bloated then, with my lunch only halfway digested.
the queue at astons was crazy!
it was a weekday night, and yet by 8 o clock,
the queue was still so long.
settled for grilled salmon for dinner, which i split with my mom,
andd i've never been more full in my entire life!
i'm surprised my weighing scales did not get crushed under my newly-gained ** kilo body weight when i stood on it that night.
lols. would love to blog more but its already 2.17am on a saturday morning.
val's having her birthday chalet tomorrow andd my mom needs all the help she can get for the preparation of food tomorrow.
what better person to look for other than me right?
eyelids are shutting any minute~
goodnight!

drats...
on the first day of the new year, 1st January 2009,
i have no voice.
i've really been rendered speechless this time..literally! (and very against my own will!)
think it must have been the 4 dougnuts that i've consumed since yesterday,
including one green tea doughnt this morning, thanks to my mom's theory that if i were to eat doughnts on the first day of the new year, i would be prosperous or something..
she must have heard it off 90.5FM.
anyways, went to get a dozen of doughnuts from doughnt factory yesterday,
my favourite would now be dark chocochino~
smothered with dark chocolate on the top but this creamy, cappuchino foam within the doughnt itself!
sidetrack: AHHHH!! XIAO ZHU MADE IT MOST FAVOURITE ARTISTE OF TAIWAN on mtv asia awards! he sounds cute when he's attempting to speak english! wahahahs! i can't scream!(i can't even talk!) i can only nudge my sis like crazeee! gawd i hate it when i have no voice....
oh and yx would be loving to watch mtv now... her beloved super junior is performing now~
okays, back on topic.
me&dear met yx and yl at city hall around 8+ yesterday night,
we were planning to catch the fireworks but went for dinner first at hong kong cafe~
my voice was alreadyy sounding very raspyy by dinner yesterday,
but i couldn't stop blabbering non-stop cos there was just too much to talk about.
sometimes, when i feel like i have nothing to talk about, my voice just works perfectly fine.
but just when i'm in the talking mood, there goes my voice. reduced to nothing more than a hoarse whisper. sighhhs.
walked around marina square after dinner,
went to meet up with dear's frens for abit, denn we headed to find a good spot to catch the fireworks.
the crowd near the esplandade/marina bay area was crazyyy!
the four of us dreaded squeezing with the crowd so we headed to a spot just a few metres away from marina bay and right in front of marina square.
it was not as crowded there as the areas near the esplanade,
BUT when the fireworks started,
we had like a perfect view from there!
luck must have really been on our side cos we ourselves had NO idea where the fireworks came from, so it was pretty hard to find the right spot to view the fireworks.
the fireworks were beautiful yesterday night,
plus a BIG bonus was that we didn't have to be squeezing with another 9812838127381 people.
i'm so going back there next year again!
FIREWORKS ARE AWESOME!!~ i love em!
i didn't scream at all yesterday, andd i nearly drowned myself in drinking so much water, so i have no idea how i can be voiceless today.
its alright, just have to stick to whisperingg and loads of let-my-actions-do-the-talking.
my mom just went out to attend her sec school class gathering.
secondary school! that's amazing how they actually managed to keep in contact!
it must have been, what, 20 years?
it would be very nice to still keep in contact with all my classmates(pri, sec,jc) 20 years from now, hahahas.
back to my tv~ tatas`

thanks for the presents!
i can't believe it.
i'm sick!
its post-christmas sickness, thanks to all the leftover goodies that are left lying around my house, enticing me to eat more of them.
overdose of that = what i am currently feeling.
bad sore throat, irritating headache and fever.
only fell sick last night so my day out with kate had to be cancelled.
so sorry bout it, kate.
i so wanna meet up with her! :(
there goes our lunch trip to billy bombers as well~
we'll definitely meet up next week, i promise! :)
ytd movie outing with 0720 was FUN!
i thought i was gonna be late meeting them at amk hub at 3,
but turns out that we weren't going to nebo anymore.
spent the afternoon helping xy choose her working attire!
shanyi had to keep insisting the silky silky one was "VERY NICE TO TOUCH!"
andd i nearly fainted when they were looking at an ankle length skirt.
not that i have anything against ankle length skirts but those kind looks like those that a 50-year old primary school teacher would wear, threatening to trip her any minute and make her land flat on her nose!
xy has such nice legs which shouldn't be hidden beneath that kinda skirt! wahahahas.
in the end she went for a yellow blouse and a white skirt.
they both looked pretty good, andd lucky for her,
someone lent her the members card which entitled her to a further discount! xDD
dinner was at sumo house.
its a budget place but the food there was pretty good,
andd the environment was not too bad~
waited for eunice to make her way down to amk,
when she nearly mistaken the meeting place to be at ps!
blur sotongg eunice~ hahahahas.
kim arrived 5 mins before the show started,
and none of us wanted to miss the front part,
even though all of us(excluding eunice) have already caught it at least once.
no one can beat xy's record.
twice at the movies and 4 times online!
bet she can memorise all the lines of the various actors already~! hahahas.
watching the show another time made me realise that Jasper's pretty good looking!
movie ended around 10+ when i headed home and that's whenn my fever started. great.
anyways,
MANY THANKS to chia, eunice, kim, joan, peiting and xiangyu for my belated bdayy present!
xDDD

OMGS!
i've actually been saving up to buy this book, but by the time i actually save up enough, it'll be long sold out!
apparently its selling damn fast now!

can't bear to open it just yet,
but i will soon! :)

i super duper love this scene,
cos it reminds me of a cinderella story! its so magical and perfect!
bwahahahs.
THANKS GUYS! love you all to de max!

also, this is some charm thing that eunice got us from her holiday to China!
the chinese writings on the charm is an ancient form of writing, only mastered by a handful of people! COOLNESS~

lava lamp from my parents xDD
look at the blings!

many many blings~!
andd lastly, present from dear.
the musical box!

deck the halls!
MERRY CHRISTMAS tO ONE AND ALL!! (hohohoho!)
hahahs xmas was as usual, FANTASTIC!
its christmas! what more is there to say?
food, presents, family, frens! can there be any other perfect combination?
this xmas, i went to a total of 3 christmas dinners this year!
luckyy luckyy me! (maybe its to make up for my missing xmas dinner last year! lols!)
1st xmas dinner this year was steamboat at laogong's place.
i haven't eaten steamboat in the longest time!!
yeahh, although there's alot of stuff i don't eat,
but i still enjoy steamboats to the MAX! xDD
dinner was yummmy-licious!
andd there's my absolute favourite part of xmas.....
.
.
.
.
LOG CAKE!!!!!

*what will i do without you during xmas??*
laogong's aunt bought it, chocolate with yoghurt centre!
ultimate sweetness!! xDD
2nd xmas dinner was at homeee~(24th dec)
my parents bought a TURKEY from cold storage.
(still got alot alot left in the fridge lahs, i've been eating turkey sandwich for breakfast for the past few days since 24th)
laogong was coming over for dinner too!
my sisters and panu brought one fren along as well!
so it was rather crowded for christmas dinner as compared to the usual 6 of us only.
i got a shock at how big the turkey was okay,
when i saw it lying there on the kitchen tabletop!
i know now that when Mr. bean got his head stuck in the turkey,
they weren't exaggerating about the turkey's size!
i used to laugh thinking its a really stupid thing that a person's HEAD can enter a turkey's butt.
plus, i had always thought the turkey was fake!
come on, how BIG can one turkey grow?
okay, but they weren't kiddingg..
.
.

i don't even know how it can FIT in the microwave,
which isn't very big btw.
i can nearly imagine my parents huffing and puffing to stuff the turkey into the microwave!
but i thinkk it fit in perfectly~
my mom also cooked curry chicken,
my absolute fav!
although that's not really christmas dinner material,
its an exception for her curry because it raeally goes well with anything, anywhere!
she also bought tons of sushi, andd nearly the entire bakery!
there was so much bread to go around.
dinner was yummy but i've never been more fullin my life!
my sis made brownies that afternoon,
which she served as dessert together with vanilla ice cream.
delicious, but i knocked my plate off the table by accident and there goes my dessert,
even had ice cream splattered all over my shirt.
i cannot be happier that dinner was at home so i could easily select another shirt from my cupboard and change immediately!
could i be any more careless? lols.
that day has gotta be my careless day cos i was trying to serve val's fren, april, some salad when i accidentally swung back, and my elbow knocked into her head,
andd the veggies that i had kiap-ed with the tongs ended up in her curry.
luckily, i knocked someone who's very giggly,
andd she just ended up laughing,
along with everyone who saw that incident happen.
my dad bought champagne specially for xmas as well,
andd we all got a chance to drink it!
first time drinking champagne for me,
andd i love it!
there really is this bubbly, fizzy taste to it!
i could get addicted to it, seriously. lols.
countdown for xmas was together with laogong.
no we didn't go to town, neither did we go anywhere else.
just slacked at home cos it was already pretty late to go anywhere else and i had a curfew at 2..
so much for curfews, my sis only got home at 7 the next morning, even when the 2 o clock curfew applied to her.
i'm never believing in curfews again.
i love laogong's present! wahahahs.
it was a musical box, with the cutest ever little handle,
when i turn the handle, i can produce the SWEETEST, most tingly tune ever!
i kept turning and turning it just so i could listen to the tune over and over again!
i hope its lasting and will allow me to keep turning it continuously without breaking!
i have to be very careful with it,
i absolutely can't break it! its wayyy to precious~
woke up the next morning to something GREAT!
.
.
.
LOGCAKE AGAIN!!!
this one was given by cold storage,
compliments for purchasing the turkey.
100%chocolate!

i polished off 1/4 of the cake that morning,
and the other 1/2 of it the next morning for breakfast!
nobody else wanted to eat it,
how cann anyone NOT wanna eat something so fantastically delicious?
i would die without logcakes for xmas! lols!
that night, laogong's extended family was holding a chalet at pasir ris,
andd that was my 3rd xmas dinner!
how luckyy that their extended family can celebrate xmas together with all their cousins.
yx was there too! wahahahas.
the food was good, i thinkk their grandparents must have passed down the right culinery skills to the other generations.
most of the food was cooked by dear's relatives,
andd it was not bad at all!
dear also cann cook well, same goes for yx.
i'm beginning to suspect if one's cooking skills are hereditary..
if it is, i must have gotten mine from my dad.
he cannot tell the difference between a garlic and ginger if you ask him,
andd his legendary rice is neither rice not porridge when he cooks it without a rice cooker!
his stir-fried veggies are also extremely tasty cos he added nearly 1/3 the bottle of oyster sauce.
yepp, my cooking skills are definitely from him! =DD
reached home pretty late that night,
but thanks to the coffee, i was able to survive until 4+ without feeling like i'm about to drop dead any minute, still had energy to talk to laogong on the phone for awhile before i really went off to dreamlandd~
26th december:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YANLAN!
finally, all of us are 18!!!! lols.
we don't have to leave you outside the cinema when we're gonna watch M18 movies le! xDD
it was a busy dayy cos my entire house was about to be repainted!
you cannot imagine how TIRING it is to repaint the house by yourself!
just finished painting the balcony,
but yesterday, we did my room!
luckily, dear came over to help out!
my and my sis gave up halfway~
hahahas.
its really not an easy feat.
BUTBUTBUT, my room is now coated in a warm orange-peachy colour and i ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT!
the walls were already tough enough to handle,
but the ceiling was the worst part!
not only do you have to crane your neck to breaking point,
the energy needed to not only hold the paintbrush up,
but also to paint the ceiling is enough to kill your arms.
my arms are currently, still sore.
what can i say, i failed inclined pull-ups,
my arm muscle, is ZERO!~ lols.
BUT we had fun messing around with the ceiling before we painted it!
mwahahahas!

xDD

dear did the word "love" and i did the word "justin"
its not simple at all, i had to jab the ceiling repeatedly to form his name!
hahahs but it looks so good there!
if only we didn't have to paint it over~ lols.
andd after an entire day of hard work~
.
.
.
the end product!

okays, can't really see from this picture.
when i have the time and energy,
i'll take a nicer pic.
the orange colour of the wall really makes my room looks brand new!
wahahas. i love the colour alot,
no matter how weird it sounds to paint my wall orange!
andd my parents got me a BLING lava lamp for my xmas present!
its not the normal lava that moves up and down,
mine has like silvery glittery glitter that circulates within the lamp,
and when i turn it on at night,
it fills my whole room up with ripples,
very much like light on reflected water!
its absolutely STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL andd it is mesmerising to watch the blings float about in the lamp!
its gonna be my new nightlight and i'll be able to have a good sleep every night!
(that's until the electricity bills come in next month and my parents start nagging at me not to have my lamp turned on every single night.)
shall worry about that another time~
hahahs xmas was as usual, FANTASTIC!
its christmas! what more is there to say?
food, presents, family, frens! can there be any other perfect combination?
this xmas, i went to a total of 3 christmas dinners this year!
luckyy luckyy me!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YANLAN!
finally, all of us are 18!!!! lols.
we don't have to leave you outside the cinema when we're gonna watch M18 movies le! xDD

the only good thing about him getting sore throat is that his voice is super sexyy now. LOLS!
its so super low and rough~ xDD
