lols. today was interestingg man,
although the beginning of this week was still kinda sadd.
with the extra lesssons and all..
but since ytd, it's been rather relaxingg!~
(i AM guilty of saying this cos i noe i should be studyingg.)

went for a movie marathon today,
if you consider two back-to-back movies a movie marathon.
it was an impromptu decision to catch the 11am what happens in vegas.
but it was SO WORTH IT!
at first i didn't think much of it,
i only wanted to watch it cos ashton kutcher was in it.
but it was sucha SWEET, HILARIOUS comedy and i loved it!
its very interesting and it got me thinking as well.
i mean, with all the interesting parts as to when they have to live together and all that.
i loved the ending though! it was sweet =D
(btw, im NEVER getting married in vegas. its sucha slip-shod affair,
but quite interesting as well, only if its someone like ashton! xD)

the second movie was made of honor!
that one was very very touching!
i mean, interesting!
but the ending was so expected.
i knew the guy was gonna get the girl back!
but the entire process was cute`
andd, he was SO made for her.
the way they shared the cake and everything,
and the way he remembered all the little things she's said,
it was just... perfect.
hahahas. GOOD MOVIE!
should definitely catch it!
but what happens in vegas is more MY TYPE of movie,
i was laughing all the way!!!

went for lunch after tht at foodrepublic,
denn it started rainingg so we had to remain in amk hub.
'walked and shopped around.
the shirt which i wanted to buy was alr outta stock!

what a bummer....

i used to hope and pray i wouldn't get nightmares,
but what i dreamt last night was worse!

i dreamt i was in the biggest warehouse sale i could ever imagine.
the warehouse had 50 rows, FIFTY!
everything you could possibly want!
i must have acted like a total maniac in my dream,
i went around grabbing anything i could lay my hands on!
i found my box collection for twilight, going at $19.90!
got 4 more boxes for my frens.
got early xmas presents for all my frens!
i got this ginormous spongebob stuffed toy for eunice at $30!
which is so worth it cos its 3/4 my height.

i dreamt about shoes, jeans, clothes, many many more!
i just kept picking stuff off their shelves and putting it in the trolley.
they had this section where you could park your filled trolley and pay a guard to look after them for you.
i remember buying many boxes of green tea for my mom,
andd a nice potted plant,
as well this entire set of candle light holders, which came in every single colours imaginable.
andd even golf sticks for my dad, since they were on sale anyway, $10 per stick.
not that my dad played golf but it could be his next father's day present.
i had filled 3 trolleys to the brim by the time i was done!
i have never felt more accomplished in my entire life!
i was certain i never had to go shopping again!!
(or at least for the rest of the year)
i had covered evrything, birthdays, christmas, special occasions, evrything!

andd the amazing thing??
when the counter finally finished checking everything out,
my bill amounted to $198/-
MY GAWD! 3 trolleys full for less than $200?????
since i spent over $100, they offered to deliver it to my house FOC!

denn....my stupid alarm went off...
i sat up straight, only to realise that it's been a dream.
i still have a year's full of presents to buy.
i didn't manage to get my box collection for twilight..
AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
you tell me, this is worse than a bloody nightmare.
make me so happy thinking that i've bought so many things,
andd denn CRAAAASHHH!!! reality hits me hard. nothing's true, just a stupid dream.

anyways, depsite all the catching up i have to do,
i'm guilty to say that i've spent my saturday and sunday in town, window shopping.
okays it was more to check the prices of the twilight collection.
so far, the cheapest would be at kino(taka) for hard cover new moon and eclipse.
but for twilight, the only place which sells hard cover is at times.

okay, since i rarely step into taka because the shops there are way outta my league,
i was shocked to see that people actually have to QUEUE to get into LV.
there was really a queue. andd a guard handling the crowd.
inside the shop itself, there were at least 4 more guards just standing at their designated posts.
how stressful is that?
but i guess they wouldn't want to risk the shop getting robbed or smth.

went to watch harold and kumar with my parents yesterday!
hahahaha. its kinda like the kinda movies i'll watch with cheryl,
cos its kinda crude and really not the kind of movies you'll wanna catch wif ur parents.
i mean, for a movie outing, it should be movies like indiana jones that kind you noe?
family-ish action-packed movie.
not harold and kumar definitely!
but my mom insisted she wanted to watch the show,
so we went to get tickets for the 7+ show at orchard.
the entire hall was fully booked except for 2 seats!
so we had to catch the next movie at 9.30.

since we had plenty of time to waste,
we decided to talk a nice long walk to borders,
partly cos i wanted to check if they still had stephanie meyers box collection.
ytd was also the 2nd time i was crazy enough to wear heels to orchard.
PLUS, those shoes that i bought frm taiwan were wayy too small!!!
so i had to practically squish my big foot in.
and i only wore heels in a feeble attempt to look 18-ish.
believe me, i was this close to being handicapped.

it's no joke to walk in heels that were too small for your feet from orchard to borders.
its a good 20 minutes walk and i was so relieved to finally reach.
the sad thing was, the box collection set was FULLY SOLD OUT!
omg. i had no idea twilight had gained popularity in such a short time!~
now practically the entire world would be in love with edward.
met kristen and her mom there, they were also heading for borders and den to dinner.

i very nearly fainted at the thought of having to walk all the way back to cine in those heels.
by then, 3 very huge blisters had already formed on my feet and i was close to limping.
still had one more hour to go by the time we reached cine,
so we went to the coke lounge to get coffee for my parents and the computer for me.
as laggy as i am in the field of IT and technology,
i still can recognise a mac when i see one.
its really nice, but wayyy to classy and fragile for someone like me.
worse still, there was no internet so all i could do was play games like reversi, chess, tic-tac-toe and checkers with the computer.
i'm hopeless at chess as it already is, but playing against the com,
i looked like a total loser.
later i was joined by the guy who started playing checkers at the com beside me.
when he lost, he totally slammed his hand hard onto the table and gave me the shock of my life!
relax man, i thought he should be smart enough to noe that only geniuses could win computers against games like these.

finally, 9.30 came!
i had no trouble getting in at all,
i guess its cos i was with my parents so they didn't even bother checking.
so excited to finally get to watch harold&kumar.
i had already watched it beforehand on movie6.
but the movie quality sucked.

anyways, the movie still made me laugh like mad,
even though it was the second time i was watching it!
my mom laughed really loud too!!
it was surprisingly fun to watch that movie with my parents!
except it does get a little bit awkward now and then when those sick parts come on screen.
with my frens i could easily laugh it off,
but in front of my parents.. yeah. hahah.
btw, i jus realised that harold is kinda hot!
in this cute korean-ish way~
and kumar is forever the joker mann.
just looking at his face is enough to make you laugh!
a great great movie!

ohh yeahh, at the front of cine,
all those tiles had come off, making it extremely hard to walk,
especially with heels.
i was cursing those people who couldn't have chosen a better time to remove the tiles,
denn my dad told me that they were building this really cool system called plug and play.
where next time, people could actually just plug in their electric guitars into these post-like thingys that will be built there,
andd when they started playing,
the sound will come out from speakers and there will be lights and all.
pretty much like having a live band there.
but who would be so daring to actually plug in his guitar and play,
in the middle of cine?
he's either gotta be very good,
or really doesn't care if he produces all the noise pollution with his lousy guitar skills.
still, its not a bad idea at all.

ahhh the weather is killing me!!!!
its getting extremely hot nowadays.
still, i feel lucky i'm not stuck in the chem lab now,
which i should have been if there were school today.
that place is reallyy like a sauna at this time of the day.

recently, i've made a very important decision.
this decision has led me to be seperated from 0720.
this is really saddening cos its times like this when you have to be seperated from what you love, that you really learn how to appreciate them.
(i mean, not like i haven't been appreciating you guys)
seriously, i dun think i could ever ask for nicer classmates!
although it wasn't always the full class that was bonded,
i was lucky enough to have classmates that care.
there were no such thing as backstabbing or bitching around.
(maybe about others, but not really within our class)
the guys and girls still split like oil and water at times,
but its gotten better already.

i jus wanna say how THANKFUL i am to have you guys as my classmates.
you made life in NYJC for me fun!
not just survivable, but FUN!
i could have something to look forward to about going to school.
ahh..i really dunno how else i can put it
BUT I JUST LOVE YOU GUYS TO THE CORE!

to my two special frens, eunice and shanyi.
i will really miss you two the most.
its definitely gonna be weird not having shanyi's crappy jokes and juicy gossips,
as well as eunice's loud loud voice near my ear! hahahs.
you two have been a great pillar of support for me,
andd i am so glad i have been able to be in the same class as you two for the past year and a half.

but we've been wanting a class tee so much,

on a brighter note,
i never did blog about what happened on mother's day right?
well...
i did make sushi in the end!

surprisingly, panu made breakfast for my mom.
i gotta say, his cooking skills is not bad(unexpectedly)
andd my mom was delighted!
so it was one meal down, 3 more to go~


after church, i rushed home to get the sushi done.
i spent 3 hours on it! hahahs.
lunch was only ready at 3,
but my sushi all turned out alright!
LUNCH!


was quite plain actually,
only got crabstick, cucumber and tuna.
plus mini chocolate fondue done up by my sister!~


oh yeahh, denn while i was waiting for the rice to cool,
i got bored and decided to play a nasty prank on my dearest classmates of 0720.
wuahahahs.
using the box of collon i bought,
i did that wasabi trick that ross pulled on xiaxue.
i dug out half the portion of the strawberry filling in that tiny biscuit,
squeezed in a reasonable amount of wasabi,
andd denn covered it back with the strawberry filling!~

well the first person i tricked was my sis actually.
she bit down hard on it,
andd her expression changed immediately.
she stared at me and gave the loudest "EWWWWWWW" i've ever heard.
denn she continued chewing,
andd denn she smiled at me and said.. 'yum! =D"
shit.
my perfect plan failed.
my sis was intolerant of wasabi and she said it was nice?
guess it was her luck to take one without THAT much wasabi.

the next day in school,
my first 2 targets were naturally shanyi and eunice.
i waited till it was around 35 mins well into the lecture,
the perfect timing.
when you look around, everyone's head will be lolling about,
their eyelids about to close any min.
i pulled out the box of collon and offered it to eunice first.
i was already on the verge of laughing.
i knew shanyi was tolerant of wasabi but eunice was the one who
would react to the wasabi extremely!
unlucky for me, shanyi bit down on hers first andd yelled out,
"EEEE why got wasabi one!!!'
eunice stared at her, andd denn turn to look at me.
it was only when i assured her that only shanyi's piece was the wasabi-filled one, denn she finally chewed down on hers.
her reaction was hilarious!!!
i dunno which made me laugh harder,
the fanning-her-mouth-frantically-with-her-hands,
or desperately groping around her bag for her water bottle!

SUCCESS!

i gave it to other people to try too,
meifang liked it, i guess, cos she took a second piece.
shanyi loved it cos her fav was wasabi.
next time your bdayy i make one whole entire box for u ok! lols.

ahhh tired of typing alreadyy`
shall go read ABIT of my eclipse now.
i say ABIT cos i really dun wanna finish reading it.
i will limit to half a chapter everytime !

hellos hellos hellos!
oops wanted to blogg tht day but my blogger screwed up on me.
was about to blog about MR PIG!
mr pig is sooo cute. go youtube and search bahhs.

anyways, its mother's day once again!
i'm gonna cook this year again~
its amazing how after one year has passed,
my cooking skill has NOT improved one bit.

anyways, todayy after half a day at the library with siti and her fren(which i never got to noe his name but he's damn pro in dota)
i went to amk hub to shop for stuff to cook for tomorrow.
this time i'm not making pancakes anymore,
which turned out not as well as i expected.
i'm making sushi!!!
which i got the idea from what we did at minds tht time,
it was seemingly easy, but i was soooo wrong...

when i got to the lane selling all the jap food,
everything there was in jap!
yeahh i did learn jap before but i never took the effort to go memorise those characters,
so they were all one BIG blur.
there i was, staring dumbly at all the labels,
trying to figure out which one was the rice vinegar and the soy sauce.
it was only until i noticed that they had english translations,
but the print was so fine i had to practically pick up each and every bottle
to scrutinise what the words were.
after 10 longlong mins, i finally found what i needed.
great. ONE item down.

the rice section was terror mann.
i'm telling you, my new nightmare would be supermarts.
i am only familiar with the snacks and drinks lane,
the rest? i bet i'll confuse pet food with canned food.
maybe even mistaken detergent for flour.
okay, back to the rice lane.
they had thai rice, more thai rice, premium white gold rice, brown rice,
every rice you could possibly want, EXCEPT JAP RICE!
then i got panicky and started msg-ing xiangyu, who has been a great help to me throughout the day cos i keep bothering her with all the how-to-cook-the-jap-rice part.
okay, so i didn't manage to find the rice,
i went on to grab the fillings for the sushi.

i managed to find crabmeat, cucumbers,
but until the salmon part... urgh... i had to go to the fish section,
which is the section i hate the MOST!
they had dead fishes staring at you with those glassy eyes,
its so darn threatening.
their eyes are like saying "COME ON, eat me if you DARE!"
all big and round. yucks...
lucky the salmon, was this pinkish slab of meat.
no eyes or fins, thank gawd!
there was quite a crowd there, i managed to take a peek,
and saw "FRESH SALMON, $2.16 per 100g)"
andd all the aunties were like fighting for the best piece.
so i graciously waited for them to take their pick,
finally leaving me with all the broken styrofoamed boxed ones andd those with huge ugly fingerprint dents in it.
i grabbed the most intact one, when this auntie beside me started prodding around the other boxes.
well so i followed suit, maybe the squishier they are, the fresher they will be.
but they all felt the same to me, so i jus took the one with the LEAST fingerprints on it.
who'd wanna eat salmon tht has been poked around by so many ppl? ew...

denn i got to the question on how to cook it.
i can't cook the salmon, it wouldn't be sushi salmon anymore,
but my problem was easily solved when i went to the ready-made sushi section,
andd saw that they actually sold raw salmon, all ready to be eaten.
great, what a waste of my 20 mins picking that stupid fresh salmon.
andd it was there that i found the jap rice too!!
the description fits xiangyu's one perfectly, so its gotta be that one.

also went around to grab meat patties and hamburger bread,
that's plan B in case my sushi turns out wrong,
denn at least will still have hamburgers to eat wad.
i mean, you never noe. what if i overcooked the rice tmr or something.
finally paid for everything which amounted to a freakin $38.50!
i almost fainted okay.
they were selling ready-made sushi at $30 plus per box, andd it was enough for 2 times of my family to eat.
andd all i bought was some seaweed, RAW crabmeat, NO salmon, the jap rice, vinegar and some other stuff... $38.50????
grr....

denn i had to lug all those 3 bags of stuff to take the bus!
i was carrying rice summore! andd bottles of sauce.
but nvm, i'm sure my mummy will appreciate it.

finally reached home, never been more thankful to get rid of all those groceries!
denn i got down to doing a trial run on my sushi.
who knew 2 cups of rice could feed my entire family!
that goes to show how often i cook rice for dinner.
i ended up cooking so MUCH rice, i felt so sorry to waste it.

my crabsticks boiled perfectly, and i was so proud of them.
but just as i was tipping the water away from the bowl,
3 of those slippery crabsticks slidded out of the bowl and into the sink.
i swored quite loudly while my sister shrieked from behind me.
i wanted to pick them up and put them in the bowl but she stared at me with
those kinda try-that-and-i'm-literally-gonna-stuff-it-down-your-throat-first-before-i-take-a-bite kinda look, so i just threw it away in the dustbin.
wad a waste..

when everything was ready,
my first attempt at rolling the sushi failed quite badly.
my sushi swelled up to at least thrice the normal size you can find at any sushi outlet.
i was super generous and spooned alot of rice onto the seaweed.
my sushi roll was on the verge of exploding..
it was so horrendously thick that my kitchen knife couldn't slice it properly without rice spilling out on either sides.
2nd attempt: the size reduced by quite alot, but it was still freakin huge.
my third and last attempt(because i was running outta crabsticks) was the best,
although it was still big, the size looked quite okay.
so there it was, i hope it goes okay tmr.

the cleaning up part really sucks andd i have so much leftover rice i have no idea wad i wanna do with it.
later then think of a solution,
now i'll jus rest awhile first,
hahahah. how i wish i had this robot that will do all the clearing up for me.
i cann jus do the cooking and the rest the robot cann do.

i still dun geddit, cooking still ain't fun for me.
i prefer to be the one eating. hahahs.

anyways, todayy is dominic's birthday!
i still feel bad about forgetting your birthday until like 1 plus in the afternoon.
it kinda slipped my mind andd i still wanted to wish you at 12 midnight,
but my fone ytd low batt denn lazy to turn on again.
anyways, you're 18 now! OMG old..
hahahah. but 18's THE legal age.
which is unfair cos i have to wait ever so long more!

i passed...I PASSED!

hahahahas yes i did it!
i did i did, i did pass my 2.4 run this morning.
i was supposed to go to sleep at 12 ytd night,
but i used my com all the way till 1+,
so, instead of being able to wake up at 6,
i woke up at 6.45 instead.
rushed my breakfast down,
which was this rather big bowl of cereal
(cos i was pretty hungry)
andd half my bottle of water.

i boarded the bus only at 7.05,
andd because i nearly missed the stop,
i rushed down from the bus andd dropped my girls hp pouch..
ahhh screw it, i was abit pissed at that time.
if i didn't have 2.4, denn i wouldn't have to lose it.
anyways, i made it to school just in time.

at the starting line,
i dreaded getting stiches, feeling faint, getting that vomity feeling,
andd the extreme muscle ache in my legs.
sadly, i managed to get all of tat.
the first and 2nd round weren't so bad,
i kept replaying low by flo rida in my head so as
to maintain the right tempo.
lols, by my 3rd round, all i could think of was stopping.
my muscles felt like they were about to tear apart,
i was panting like some big husky dog,
andd my breakfast was tumbling around in my stomach,
threatening to hurl out any minute.
to top it all off, i was getting stiches.

managed to press on till my 5th round,
denn i finally stopped and started walking abit.
it helps when u think that this is going to be the last time you're ever going to run 2.4
i pressed on all the way, andd managed to complete it within the passing mark!
wooohooos.
all our class people passed too~ for the girls at least.

i just realised what a supportive principal i have.
he took the time off on his saturday morning to come cheer us on,
andd distribute bottled water(with impurities in it) as well as packets of milo.
how nice of him.

after everyone in our class completed the run,
went for brunch andd denn headed backk home.
still had to meet yx in the afternoon,
waited for her at bishan lib where i very nearly fell asleep.
no more energy after running 2.4,
my eyelids were all droopy andd i had absolutely no mood to do anything.

she FINALLY arrived at 3,
andd brought along with her sushi, yummy yums!
we were all settled down comfortably when the librarian came to chase us away...
bet everyone was seeking refuge in the library cos the weather outside was so damn hot,
which was why the library was overcrowded.
went to mos burger in j8,
where we sat for nearly 4 hours.

after that, we went window shopping,
andd denn dinner at 9.30!
still feeling full now...
bleah bleah bleah.
been lettin my sis watch muttons till midnight podcast replays,
she loved them!
who wouldn't?
muttons are just soooooooooooo adorable!

yes! my longlong friday is finally over!
it feels so good to just relax!
i've been on the com the entire night jus doing random stuff like blog-surfing,
listening to muttons podcasts over and over again

as well as blogging.

i can't believe i have to wake up at like 6 tomorrow.
Why? to go to school for my 2.4 run.
its so crap okay.
luckily this week had thus as a public holiday, if not i will be complaining like siao.
saturday is my one and only day to sleep in,
as in i get to wake up whenever i want to.
sunday i've got church and the weekdays are simply impossible.
andd now my saturday sleep-in time is being cruelly taken away ):
screw NAPFA. why can't we have tests on games instead of fitness.
they must know that people with dangerously low fitness levels actually exist in this world, like me, for example, so can't we be exempted from NAPFA?
its not like we have to prove anything..
i'm betting my entire year's pocket money that the person who came up with NAPFA
is this ultra fit dude who jogs at least 10km everyday,
eat and drink only protein shakes,
and whose full-time job is a personal trainer at california fitness.
(oh, and he definitely has 8-paks too)

so fine, they're fit.
why subect us to the torture as well?
whey can't they test us stuff like who can sit through the 3-part death note movie marathon WITHOUT falling asleep. dun think its as easy as it sounds, its not. hahahs.
but i cann get A and even get gold ok.
or even 6-part harry potter movie marathon.
throw in the popcorns and drinks,
andd i'm good to go!
sighs. i'm a true blue singaporean.
see how much i complain lah.

i could complain 4 hours non-stop last time okay.
now less than 10 minutes tired already lah.

MAYDAY!

today is the best day any working adult could hope for.
THEY GET A DAY OFF FROM WORK!
how cool is that, bet if i were working next time,
i'll countdown till this day.
denn again, if you're a student, you get to look forward to june and dec holidays
which lasts for a month.
WAYYY better deal than one pathetic day.

today is also the birthday of someone i clearly don't like.
lols. i dun have anyone under my hate list
but this guy seriously pissed me off with his ginormous ego 3-4 years ago.
hahahs. guess i really do hold a grudge against him.
but its not really my fault.
can't bring myself to forgive this kinda ppl.
(OMG. i can't believe i cann remember his bloody birthday... since when did my memory improve so much...)

anyway, there's this major chem test tomorrow.
i hope i studied hard enough.
but somehow, my studying hard never enables me to pass ANY of the tests.
but still, i agreed that my previous test, which i got 8/30
was downright deserving.
cos i studied like 2 hours the night before.
BUT this time,
i studied at least 3 times harder than the previous test,
plus, i even went for consultation to clear my doubts.
if i still CANNOT pass this test,
then it just goes to show that i'm hopeless at chemistry.
but at least i did try my best!
so even if i fail, i wouldn't be feeling so shitty on the inside.
although i will feel really bad to let ms sim down.

there goes my holiday....
i was planning on going to vivo today but with the chem test and all..
i wouldn't be able to go this weekend as well.
its alright, i'll go next week then.
PLUS, i promise to reward myself to ben&jerry's ice cream if i pass my chem test!
you know, i think it really is working.
at least 30% of my motivation to study comes from thinking about the B&J treat i'm about to give myself.

tomorrow is a longlong day in school again.
damn i really hate long days!
feeling so sick by the very thought of it.
luckily the chem test is in the morning.
if its the last period of the day, i dunno how i'm gonna endure it till then.
