BRING ME TO LIFE!!~

OMG YAYS!
my promos are finally over!
well, nearly at least.
still got one chem mcq left,
but that's not till next tuesdayy.

its tough doing promos once,
and worse to do it OVER AGAIN!
(but im still more thankful its promos than a's)
YOU GUYS CAN DO IT!
just a month more and it'll be all over.
denn you guys can get ur well deserved break,
while i still have to look forward to facing a levels again next year.

been watching wayyy too many movies lately.
I LOVED MAMMA MIA~
but so does the whole world right?
its very very musical,
but the songs were great,
especially since they were the remake of the once-popular band, ABBA.

MIRRORS was good too!
the storyline is so worth watching,
although those loud loud bits really did shock me,
thanks to dolby digital surround sound system.
really quite freakyy to look into the mirror especially when it reminds me of certain scenes in the movie.

DISASTER MOVIE was really nonsensical,
the storyline was abit funny,
but they did a not too bad job of combining alot of recent movies.
i'd never see alvin and the chipmunks the same way again,
they look like possessed teletubbies in the movie!
and i definitely prefer indiana jones as harrison ford instead of that tiny guy.

MY BEST FRIEND'S GIRL was fabulous!
i really liked the storyline alot alot!
its something like hitch, jus that hitch is somewhat an angel
whereas the guy in this show is like the devil.
but they all have one common goal, help bring couples together.
its really cute, except for the nudity scenes which turned both me and kate off totally.
hahahas but other than that, it was pretty funny and a should-watch.

BOYS OVER FLOWERS!
what can i say?
not a big fan of f4!
luckyy this one is the japanese remake.
but the storyline is so so sweet.
hahahas, really unexpected.
i really had zero expectations on this movie because i never did watch that liu xing hua yuan show.
it was really cute and somehow,
those 4 jap guys in the movie do resemble the real f4.
HAHAHA.
not a bad show to watch at all!
mixture between an action movie as well as a romantic comedy!

you know, i could so totally live with a job doing this.
can i?
hahahs, its like so funn to jus give comments comments comments on movies jus after you've watched it!

arghh..its exam mode in singapore right now.
end of years for secondary schools,
PSLE starting this coming friday.
o/a levels in a month's time.
everyone's mugging mugging mugging.

now that i'm nearly done with my exams,
i gotta get my hands on breaking dawn.
i do have the online version of it,
but its jus not as nice as reading in it a book-form.
hahahas!
im finally gonna know the storyline.

anyways, guess what occasion is coming up?
CHILDREN'S DAY!!
remember how we always used to get dressed up for school,
and it would be like one of the most looked-forward to day in the school year
because we would get presents from teachers as well.
(guess not all teachers look forward to children's day den,
will burn a hole in their pocket)
and teachers also had to put on performances,
probably dressed like some flower and prance around the stage to entertain us.
LOLS!
okkays, teacher's life is abit sad when it comes to children's day.
but hey, its all fair when they have teacher's day and receive like a gazillion presents from all their students!
anyways, children's dayy is so 6 years ago for me.
that's like a reallly really long time.
they should totally have like teenagers' day or something...

anyways,
have any plans for halloween?
they're holding it at the NIGHT SAFARI this year.
no more at escape theme park.
i've only gone to the escape one once,
and it was rather freakyy but still fun!
they had random ghost ppl standing at the dark corners of the theme park and they would jus randomly scare you!
NOT FUNNY when you're the one getting scared.
lols! they have stuff like palm reading as well,
which i wouldn't go in,
even though my sis and fren tried to drag me in.
NO WAY!
wad if the person predicted something that's not too positive~
den i'll be like really bothered about it.

Some FYI on halloween :
They believed that on the last night of the old year (October 31) the lord of death gathered together the souls of all those who had died in the passing year and had been condemned to live in the bodies of animals, to decree what forms they should inhabit for the next twelve months. He could be coaxed to give lighter sentence by gifts and prayers.”

Halloween was celebrated to preserve in the minds of the people the false doctrine of the immortality of the soul — that the dead are not really dead. Almost all heathen nations had days in honor of the dead — days originally instituted to commemorate the death of Nimrod (Genesis 10:8-10) whom Semiramis, his wife, said was still alive.

Hundreds of years ago, Irish farmers went from house to house, begging for food, in the name of their ancient gods, to be used at the village Halloween celebration. They would promise good luck to those who gave them good, and made threats to those who refused to give. They simply told the people, "You treat me, or else I will trick you!"

The apparently harmless lightened pumpkin face or "jack-o'-lantern" actually is an old Irish symbol of damned soul. A man named Jack was supposed to be able unable to enter heaven due to his miserliness, and unable to enter hell because he had played practice jokes on the devil. As a result, he was condemned to wander over the earth with his lantern until judgment day (i.e., the end of the world). The Irish were so afraid that they would receive an identical plight, that they began to hollow out pumpkins and place lighted candles inside to scare away evil spirits from their home.

LOLS.
i didn't know that.
so people dress up scarily on halloween in an attempt to scare the real ghosts and spirits away?
anyways, no matter.
halloween's not THAT big in singapore as well.
only certain parts of singapore carry out trick-or-treating.
nobody would go carve out pumpkins.
the one time i bought this fake jack-o-lantern pumpkin and lit it in up in my room,
my mom immediately told me to put it away cos it had a sinister smile on its face.
YEAH its supposed to,
which is why i even bought it in the first place.
guess halloween's jus the english version of hungry ghost festival.
but its getting increasingly popular.
at least now when you say halloween people actually understand what you're talking about.

okkkayyys more the next time~!!!!
JIAYOU TO THOSE PIAING FOR exams!
