sunny isle....

IS WHAT I WANT TO BE ON NOW!
now, this means anywhere where i can get a nice tan, clean beach, calming waves, good food, cocktails all day long, ZERO workload and ZERO worries!
sounds all too good to be true, but i believe such place actually exist,
and that will be my next holiday destination in the (extremely) near future!
it sounds reasonable, i don't need to have an extravagant amount in my account to travel, i need not pay for overpriced hotels in big cities, fine dining comes in the form of exotic dinners al fresco style, and away from all the technology and city life! seems perfect to me.

hmm..this is rather attractive!
maybe this..

OOOO..i like this even more!!
but will the grass somehow appear greener on the other side?
these pictures were taken straight of the official website(how official i am not too certain), the monsoon season might be in, so no sun. stuck indoors all day, bunking in with free-loading mosquitoes that infest these tiny islands, creepy crawlies of all sorts, maybe even snakes.
sigh, i do love being in the city when i think of these, but i really really need somewhere AWAY!

boo..to think i'm imagining all these nice exotic getaways when i'm still stuck in singapore, held back by my tight budget constraint. bo-ring.

anyhows, this has been weeks ago.
we went to celebrate baby's little cousin's birthday, (not exactly little, but still little to me.) at this mad awesome place!

little bali~
and whoever knew sucha place existed!
upon stepping in, you'd be greeted by loads and loads of lush greenery, you have no idea how fresh and crisp the air was! my lungs felt instantly cleared of all the polluted air i breathe in everyday.
and because it was hidden among all the trees, it was surprisingly cool, not the normal humid and sticky feeling you get (urgh, hate those kind)

we were all led to this little 'hut', where we maintained our own private space apart from other guests, such exclusivity never fails to please me!
after getting our seats, we wandered around, and realised that the place was pretty gigantic! like it could fit the saturday night crowd, PLUS a 21st birthday party! awesome! =DD

my favourite part of the entire place!!
somehow it has this like..tribal feeling, i feel like i'm in a real-life Survivor village! Like, this is how they must have felt!! so close to nature, complemented with all the torches, totems, and MOSQUITOES!

then again, they have this miraculous incense that you can request for,
and when they start burning it, not only does it not emit those usual incense-ey smell, it is odourless, and HIGHLY effective!!
ZERO mosquito bites! and i am extremely prone to mosquito bites, these damn bloodsuckers really LOVE my blood!!
i wonder if i could actually get my hands on some of those 'mosquito-repellent'. Well, they definitely work and smell better than those from Watsons!

and after a long wait.....

DINNER IS SERVED!
many different types of cuisine to choose from, loads of combination!
but i'm not gonna spoil the fun.
its so exciting when you get to see the menu for yourself for the first time,
i hate looking at menus online, and know what i'm gonna expect for dinner.
But sometimes, due to special circumstances(like budget/ cravings), one is left with no choice but to turn to online menus.

food was REAL yums, but it started pouring towards the end of dinner, so we sought shelter deeper into the villa, and that was when the mosquitoes started attacking me like crazy..
but, minus the mozzies part, it was sucha good dinner!
and i am so definitely going back again!!
I HAVE EVEN THOUGHT OF THE OCCASION!! =D

its already the end of june, school's in for all you secondary school students!
oh, stop the whining, i went through it as well, so i feel you.
think of JC students, they have exams going on right now?
how's that for complaining, it sucks even more, having to waste an entire month studying. :(

school's starting really real soon for me, and i'm missing my 8-month holiday break already. just down to the last 2 months.
Still, i have FOC to look forward to! i hope there are plenty of great people! and i have a good feeling about this.
Just last saturday, i got surprise visit, and a special delivery of an FOC package + a goodie bag!
i presume those were my seniors, but they made so much effort of coming down specially that i was shocked.
i mean, who does that? after attending years after years of orientation, all i got was a phone call the night before telling me which group i belong to, and what to bring the next day.
At most it would be an email, but not a personalised delivery straight to my doorstep!
hahaha, feeling excited about this already!!
Great people to last me through 4 years in uni~ awesome!!
