Yesterday was a long time since I've been out till so late in the morning, BUT it was worth it! Met kate & krissy with her friends at butter around 11pm, never seen the queue so long, worst part was it didn't move. stuck outside for over an hour before we decided to head down to rebel.
Queue was equally long, but we got lucky! :D got in and saved plenty of time! Worst night to go out yesterday because of the crowd, according to sis it was the last ladies night of 2011, so that's why the whole world was out! omgggg.
Amazingly, managed to wake up at 9 this morning and even drove us to the Johor premium outlets. nothing much there, lots of brands but kinda overrated. Spent a couple of hours there, didn't get a single thing. Still! it was exciting because it was so new!
They had a serious housefly problem, and i was so excited queuing up to get a crepe when I realized the place was crawling with houseflies. Their explanation "We apologize for the large amount of houseflies due to farming issues nearby, we are trying our best to maintain the hygiene of the area." Nope, couldn't do it, gave up getting the crepe in the end. Settled for baskin robbins but gave up the cone as well because like at least 10 houseflies landed on the cone that was left in the open! :(
Lunch at the food court was bad, no matter how new the place looked. Food was overpriced as well, food courts in Singapore are cheaper than the one there, and had better food. AVOID AVOID AVOID for lunch! Saw a Thai place on the second level which had a queue, prolly that place was better.
Left for the next shopping mall an hour's drive away, got groceries and walked around a bit before heading for our final stop- city square.
Bought a new bag there, and had dinner at a Hk restaurant, food was alright, but much cheaper than the outlet in Singapore, amazing how the price differs by so much.
Paid Cathay cinemas a visit while we were there as well, and then it was home sweet home!
